The power of Ayat-Al-Kursi, Surah Ikhlas, Falaq and Naas.

I hope by the end of this article you realize the importance of reading Ayat-al-Kursi and three Quls for your protection against Satan.

Our moms tell us to recite ayat ul kursi before going to bed and we do it religiously, albeit blankly.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) ordered me to guard the Zakat revenue of Ramadan. Then somebody came to me and started stealing from the foodstuff. I caught him and said, “I will take you to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)!” Then Abu Huraira described the whole narration and said: That person said (to me), “(Please don’t take me to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) and I will tell you a few words by which Allah will benefit you.) When you go to your bed, recite Ayat-al-Kursi, (2.255) for then there will be a guard from Allah who will protect you all night long, and Satan will not be able to come near you till dawn.” (When the Prophet (ﷺ) heard the story) he said (to me), “He (who came to you at night) told you the truth although he is a liar; and it was Satan.”

Every night, Before I go to sleep, I read the dua before sleeping, ayat-ul-kursi, various recommended adhkar, but unfortunately in an absent state of mind. I just do it out of habit, without pondering over the meanings, while my mind is totally occupied by trivial affairs of this world.

Narrated ‘Uqbah bin ‘Amir Al-Juhani that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Some Ayat have been revealed to me the likes of which have not been seen: Qul A’udhu Birabbin-Nas until the end of the Surah and Qul A’udhu Birabbil-Falaq until the end of the Surah”

We don’t realise the intensity of power of verses of Quran. We were taught these chapters by our molisaabs and mothers and we just repeat them mechanically day in and day out.

Allah said the Quran protects us, how many of us actually believe it? We only believe when we are alone in home and we hear creepy sounds. Thats when all the verses we know start flowing from our heart with deep fear and belief.
We take Quran way too lightly. In this article, let me touch only upon it’s power against Satan. It’s power of protection against Jinn kind.

This may not be the best way to show the power of Quran, but these videos really made an impact on me.

Description : I don’t know if they are authentic or not, but they do look real to me. In the video, the raqi(the one who performs ruqyah or spiritual healing) tries to free the victims from jinn/jinns who possessed them.

It was an eye opener for me. It made me realise the power of the Quls, which we have memorized way back in childhood and keep repeating them monotonously in our salahs and some of us in morning, evening and night dhikr. Please know and learn the meanings of the three surahs and ayat al kursi. Believe in the words and read with complete aqeedah.

Sometimes we sing songs with so much feelings but we read Quran so absent-mindedly that we don’t even know what we are uttering.
